Maiya is a talented multi-media artist with expertise in digital and 3-D animation with strong classical fine arts training.
Currently completing a B.F.A from University of Colorado Denver’s rigorous and competitive Digital Animation Center (DAC). Maiya contributed to the 2019 senior short, titled Millie, with her rendering the foliage, textures, animation as well as defining story development and set dressing.
Starting at a young age with studio classes at the New Britain Museum of American Art, Maiya demonstrated a natural ability and went on to advanced art education at Central Connecticut State University before transferring to the Digital Animation Center at UCDenver. With a passion for art and learning she is self-taught in digital painting.
Maiya has experience in using standard industry tools such as Maya, Zbrush, SpeedTree, and Substance Painter. She thrives in a creative, collaborative environment, and enjoys gaming and digital photography.
